Oh, hai Christmas!

Hi everyone! How are you all doing on this nice day of Christmas Eve? I just came back from snowboarding with my dad and it was a lot of fun! We took some pictures together and I showed my dad how to camwhore properly… he’s already quite good at it! haha

P24-12-10_14.15Now we know from who I got my blue eyes~

Earlier today, my dog’s tail got stuck in the door while I was closing it! I was so scared since it was bleeding and my dog seemed really pitiful but when my mom got back home, she checked him up and he’s alright now, waving his tail as if nothing happened. ^^’'

I hope you are all having fun with your family (or lover if you are in some of those Asian countries where Christmas = love time) and on behalf of my family, we wish you a Merry Christmas! :D

Popsister January 2011

Thank you everyone for your kind (don’t wanna use that word right now…) sweet words earlier today. I feel better already :) It seems 2010 was a year of bad luck when it comes to love but I can’t let that affect me too much, right? I was angry, cried what I needed to cry and now I have my friends cheering me up. I’m very thankful for you guys as well! Your words really soothed my heart icon_hearts2 I will stay kind… but I’ll reserve it to people who truly deserve it!!

PLUS, no matter what, it’s still Christmas so I can’t let anything ruin this time of the year !!! :D

Enough with the sad stuff and on with the good stuff: amazing fashion! Last month, I didn’t download Popsister so I decided to give it a try this time and see if there would be any looks that I would like!

I like these looks but I don’t like them as much as some coordinates that that I saw in Jelly. They are very winter appropriate and I like that they are mostly basics. So nothing WOW but pretty enough for my eye^^

Any thoughts on Popsister? ^^

Fuck kindness

That’s it, I don’t want to be kind anymore. People take advantage of me, in the worse way possible. Someone that I fancied told me pretty words and made me feel special, it was short but enough for me to be hurt by finding out I was only a tool in a well planned plan.

I didn’t mean date you in that way.

You’re not exactly my girlfriend.

Then finding out, I’m not the only girl in his tryout session. I don’t know which hurts more… to be used for such a trivial matter or to be cheated on although everything was based on an illusion. In any cases, I was fooled again and it makes me sick that I fell for the exact same trap. I fell for nice promises and nice attentions that I easily mistake for love. The apology was even worse.

Please don’t care about me.

You are too kind.

Fuck yeah, I’m too kind. So fucking kind I let people walk all over me and use me. So kind, I can’t even hate the people that have done me so wrong in the past. So kind, I can’t refuse to help someone even though it’s more troublesome to help then so sit on my ass.

But not kind enough to not publish this. Someone send me a guide on how to be a bitch please~

PS: Sorry, back to regular posts later today… I just had to vent somewhere. I haven’t done one of these in a while… right? :(

Don’t you love it when drama suddenly appears at the end of the of a perfect day? This is exactly my situation right now. I had an awesome day at the spa with my best friend Annick then I went to watch my friends train at a gym and got to use my friend Jeremy’s super-awesome-and-professional-camera-that’s-worth-more-then-my-life! I swear, he was telling me the specs and how much each part cost and I was counting how many round trips to South Korea that would be. It was a lot.

Check out the vid he made from the footage I filmed of him tricking. I used to trick before but I stopped after I overkilled my hip. I kinda miss it so I’m trying to go to the gym and watch my friend train now and then. Made Jer’s day since I got ton of footage for him.

shameless camwhoring in the spa’s locker room

Annick and I have known each other for a long time. I met her when I was in second year of secondary school. At the time, I was hanging out with girls who weren’t too nice and they would be friendly with Annick at times but often mock her behind her back. I ended up ditching those girls and later reconnected with Annick when she started to date one of my male friends (they broke up but she still hung out with us). I was at the spa today and I was thinking about the best and the worse times we had together. I miss hanging out everyday at school with our friends and throwing food at each other. Annick and I were the only 2 girls in a gang of 7-8 boys; every lunch time was crazy!!

Most people don’t know that Annick and I went through a very sad period where we didn’t talk to each other for a year; to make a story short, a guy had gotten in between us and tore our friendship apart. Annick had long been my best friends so for that time where she wasn’t in my life, I really didn’t have anyone as close as her. I’m so glad we reconnected last year.

Now I work with her and a lot of people say that the best way to ruin a friendship is to work with your friends. I disagree; Annick and I have been through so much shit… work just can’t bring us down that easily! I don’t know if everyone is able to find a person they can really call their best friend but I think I have and I feel truly blessed to have such a nice girl as my best friend [insert cheesy music here].

Sorry if this post is kinda pointless and boring, typing this made me feel better and now I’m going to read this again a few more times and convince myself that I’m totally feeling awesome and that no drama ever happened tonight! :D

Jelly January 2011

Aaaww what a nice week-end! I expected my Saturday to be really lame; I was working while everyone at work was enjoying the staff Christmas party. I was really bummed since it’s the third year in a row that I’m the one on duty while the others are having fun but I still passed by after I was done with my shift to say hi. My friend Nico has talked me into joining him to go club so I invited a co-worker and we headed to Laval to go club at Moomba! I’m not a big fan of night clubs; I never take myself seriously when I go clubbing so we had a blast! Our bartender was simply amazing; at the end of the night, he was dancing on the bar and pouring alcohol on everybody!! I got home around 5am because once the club closed at 3am, we headed to Nico’s Christmas party and enjoyed Chinese food. I have very high tolerance to alcohol so I was totally fine at work today^^

But enough about my awesome clubbing life (LOL!) and on to Jelly’s January edition! I’m starting to really love doing these collage posts; it’s so relaxing to look for coordinates that I like and to pick the ones that I liked the best! I noticed that in my last post, all the coordinates where all squished in one picture so this time I split it in two~

jelly_jan2Loving the over sized sweaters!!

jelly_jan1Shorts in the winter aren’t really a good idea in Canada… I still love the look tho!

A lot of neutral colors and basic items this time; it’s great how one item can turn around a simple outfit into a fabulous coordinate!

On a side note, Annick and I are going to the spa tomorrow so hopefully, we will be able to sneak a few pictures here and there for you guys~!!

My decoed phone

How’s everyone been? I’m so glad school is over for a few weeks, I took some time off to catch up on sleep and being lazy. I’ve been a bit emo lately; watching too many Korean dramas and then having some personal drama on top of that has that effect of me… Also, my hours were cut at work so I’ve got way too much free times on my hands. I might look for a second part time job during the vacations.

Recently, I chipped my precious LG Lollipop and I was really upset about it :( I never wanted to deco this phone since it’s so sleek and colourful, it’s already perfect. I’m very clumsy and I dropped it one too many times and you could see a screw and parts of the phone !! So I had no choice but to cover it and turns out, I’m quite happy with the result!

I went to Omer Deserres to buy epoxy glue even though I usually avoid their shops. I’ve you live in Montreal, you know that Omer Deserres is where artistic snobby hippies like to hang around and glare at you if you dare use a plastic bag (I’m not even kidding). I chatted with this older sale representative who seemed really glad that I was looking for epoxy glue instead of like… acrylic paint or some other fancy stuff. It was funny!

So there you have it! A few Swarovski crystals and a large glittery pink bow ( from Fullmoon) and no more big boo boo on my phone!

Popteen January 2011

School’s out! Oh how happy I am… this semester was really hard on me… it was a lot of fun since I loved all my classes but my schedule was such a mess, it was hard for me to keep up a sleeping pattern >.< I’m so happy I transferred to Dawson, I can’t believe I wasted 3 years at ITHQ. Well, those three years were not entirely wasted since now I work in a field that’s really cool (unlike most students, I don’t work a minimum salary job… big plus!) and a lot of my classes were credited so I can really focus on my language courses!

But, yeah,  enough with the school talk…

I downloaded the January edition of Popteen and oh my, they are so many looks that I really liked! A lot of items are items that I already have or can get my hands on easily. With boxing day coming up, I’m paying close attention to looks that I like in magazines and I’ll try to find similar items while shopping!

popteen_jan11I really need to get one of those cat/bear ears scarf thingie !! I keep picking
looks that include those !!

I’ve never been to a boxing day before but this year I will be working on the 25th so I’ll be able to go shop the next day. Any interesting boxing day stories or survival tips for me?

A cupcake a day keeps the doctor away

Oh how I wish this was true! Last week, after going to the spa, I stopped by Montreal’s number one cupcake place; Les Glaceurs !! It was on my way to the spa so I simply couldn’t resist.
Right now, Montreal is covered in snow and I really feel like enjoying a cupcake and a nice cup of hot chocolate but for now… pictures will have to do!

Are you hungry yet? I am !! I think I’m going to reward myself with a cupcake tomorow! I have been studying like a mad woman for my Chinese final… 我学中文可是很难!Well actually… it’s only hard when I have a semester worth of vocabulary to remember! haha~

More of gal, uh?

Ugh the weather is terrible here in Montreal… I don’t know for you but my mood is highly affected by the weather; especially when it rains! I like when it’s snowy but rain just makes me grumpy and totally unproductive….so I’m totally kicking my how butt to post this entry! I want to keep my blog updated and interesting to read!

Other then that… I haven’t been getting a lot of sleep lately so that doesn’t help either x.X I keep staying awake because I always expect my friend in Korea to call me.. he tends to call me randomly around 2-3AM which is late but I like talking on the phone with him :D haha I’m so simple-minded~

Anyway, I downloaded more magazines and made more collages of looks I liked !

Surprisingly, there were a lot of looks I reallllly loved in Ageha, I totally didn’t expect that. I think I could have done 2 or 3 more collages but I decided to squeeze the ones that I loved the most in this collage. I think I have a thing for ripped leggings and jeans :D

Ranzuki had a lot of interesting looks too and I really like the red lips gloss and lipstick page they did… I wish I had an upper lips so I could pull off red lips too now !!!

SCawaii also had a lot of looks that I really liked; a lot of them seem to be warm enough for our freezing Canadian winters! And is it me of the girl in the middle, with the glasses and the cap… kinda looks like Sara Mari? Or maybe I’m just tired…

On that note, I’m going to make myself a nice hot chocolate and watch a few episodes of My girlfriend is a Gumiho…. I know this drama is old but I can’t bring myself to finish it… I like it that much!! haha

Spa Scandinave is my new love <3

Oh my… what a week-end! Like I said in my previous post, our dear B-Oppa was in town this week-end therefore, we had to party like in the old days! It was a lot of fun and I wished I had taken pictures (B did but he has yet to send them to me). A friend didn’t feel so well towards the end of the night and she needed some care but in the end, everything ended well.

Except I’m exhausted!!

Some of you may know that I work (very hard!!) in a hotel and one of its perks is that I’m often invited to try out restaurant, touristic attractions and such so that I can recommend them to my guests. Recently, my hotel signed an agreement with a local spa allowing the staff to have access to the spa’s facilities for free!!

So I jumped on the offer and gave the spa a try! I love steam baths, saunas, hot and cold baths so I couldn’t miss this occasion. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my camera with me as this spa as a quiet policy and cameras would disrupt the peace in the spa but here are some pictures from their website!

Don’t you love the modern feel of this spa? The staff is very friendly and this is something I am extremely picky about since I’ve been working in hotels for years now. Once I introduced myself at the front desk, the clerk directed me to his colleague Xavier, the one I spoke on the phone with earlier that day. Xavier explained how the spa works and gave me a pair of sandals, a bathrobe and a bracelet to open my locker. The locker room is very impressive, the lockers themselves don’t work with keys and that is a major plus; I don’t like the smell of wet metal. Instead, the bracelet has a little magnet inside that matches the locker number, just like a hotel room key!

I spent the next 2 hours trying out the baths and saunas, following Xavier’s instructions; 15 minutes in a sauna or a thermal bath, a few seconds under cold water and 15 minutes of relaxation. I first tried the eucalyptus steam bath followed by a cold shower and then read a magazine about Yukon ( I had no idea Dawson City had so many ghost stories!!). Then I tried the thermal bath, the cold bath and relaxed in the Zero Stress Zone… where I fell asleep!

I’m the type of person who has a hard time falling asleep, especially if I’m not home, in my own bed and without taking my meds! I still can’t believe I fell asleep there! I think I dozed off for a good 40 minutes!! I then tried the sauna and relaxed again until I called it a day.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and if you have the chance, I recommend you try it out too! After I told Migy (who happens to be my best friend AND co-worker) we decided to give it a try together this week! Maybe this time, we’ll be able to sneak a picture here and there :)

Canmake Cream Cheek Review

Quite a decent blogger I’m becoming! Two updates in two days and I already have another blog post that I’m going to post later this week-end!

Lately my life has been pretty boring (work, school, work…) but I’m really happy since B-Oppa is back in Montreal! Long time readers will remember that B-Oppa is an amazing friend with whom I’ve had hilarious drinking adventures. We are going to hang out together this week-end for a friend’s birthday, I can’t wait to see everyone together again!

Other then knowing my friend is in town, I got a package in the mail this morning which made my day; 2 canmake cream cheek blushes!
05 Sweet Apricot and 02 Cherry Pink

IMG_1397 IMG_1398
I have to say, at first, I thought I got fake ones since they are ridiculously small! So I looked at pictures of people holding their Canmake blushes and it reassured me that it is supposed to be the same size of a L’Oreal HIP eye shadow duo (no pictures but I just compared them side by side and it’s the same). Even though it is ridiculously small, the packaging is amazingly cute and you really have a lot of product.

The cream blush itself is quite pigmented and I’m sure these are going to last me a very long time. It’s also very easy to apply; I don’t think I’m ever going to use powder blush ever again since it’s so much easier to apply and blend. Both blushes have glitter in it but they are very fine and the Sweet Apricot has less then the Cherry Pink.
I’m not really good when it comes to make-up reviewing terms and all… but overall; I love these blushes and now I realllllly want to get all the colors available!!

That’s it for today… sorry I didn’t take any pictures of me with the blush applied… I bruised my upper lip and it’s quite swollen right now; it looks like someone punched me in the face! I’ll spare you at least that =) edit: here are some swatches instead!
IMG_1414 IMG_1416
oh yeah, temporary template… in need for a change; I want a bit more color then just black and white this time~ please bare with me while I’m playing around~
UPDATE: Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers!! You guys are so silly for celebrating one month late~ Haha just kidding, have a nice holiday (and enjoy all that crazy shopping you guys have in the US!)

Gyaru, uh?

At first, I wanted to blog about the spa I went to today but then I realised you guys might start hating me if I have two posts in a row showing off awesome things I have or do( like my bathroom that everybody loves, yay!). Please don’t hate me T_T haha

Recently, I’ve come to realize that I really love gyaru fashion. Well it’s not a recent thing actually… but following so many gyaru bloggers is so inspiring… I feel like giving it a try too! Shawna’s recent post really got me motivated so I downloaded a few magazines and did a collage of the looks I liked the best!

looks based on items that I already have/can find easily here

For now, I’ll keep looking at more magazines and try to find my own little style in all that gyaru inspiration!

I have a collage from Ageha coming up but I’ll upload that one tomorrow… I should be sleeping already =P

My bathroom set-up!

Lately, a few bloggers have been blogging about their room and as much as I would love to show you mine… my room is just really boring. It used to be my little brother’s room but we switched since I wanted a bigger room and he is barely ever at home… but we didn’t bother redecorating since my parents are eventually going to sell this house when my dad retires (and force me to move out…haha)
However, I have a pretty neat bathroom that I share with my little brother and poor guy, I have taken over it with all my products! haha

What I like the most about my bathroom is how huge the mirror is and how bright the lights are. When I wake up, it’s often really dark outside (especially at this time of the year… it’s always dark!!) so being able to do my make-up with good lighting is great! :D

And a little plus… I put one of my piano’s banch in the bathroom because I’m a very lazy person and I rather sit down when I do my hair and make-up… teehee~
IMG_1359 IMG_1360
Skincare and hair products

I like to keep my make-up brushes in a cup since it’s much faster in the morning… I know dust can get in them so I wash them really often.

IMG_1361 IMG_1363

I try to keep my make-up organized in the first drawer; I bought these little baskets at my local dollar store; 1$ for three! The second drawer is for eyelashes and some of my circle lenses!

IMG_1364 IMG_1365IMG_1366 IMG_1367

Hair gear!! The flat iron is a Limited edition CHI In love ; I got this one when I was living in France since my other straightener exploded (not kidding!) because of the voltage difference. Then I realised I couldn’t use this one either while I was living there XD I like it but I’m sad that it doesn’t have temperature control… Since I couldn’t use it in France I ended up buying a mini flat iron that had dual voltage that I leave in my locker :D
I recently the Hot Tools professional spring curling iron (1”) and I’m really happy with this one! I haven’t used a lot of curling irons before so I can’t review this… oh well~ I really like it :)

The first set of hot curlers by Hot Tools were also bought when I was living in France; they are so convenient since they have dual voltage (which means I can use those in Canada and in France!) they are also bigger then the larger rolls in the second set by Conair which is great when I want wavy-ish curls :)

Hope you enjoyer this post~ I want to cutify my bathroom a bit…I’m thinking of sticking Japanese make-up and outfit inspiration pictures on the mirror, any suggestions? :)

Yumetembou Loungewear <3

I recently ordered from Yumetembou with the wonderful Akane and we received our order last week! God Bless Japanese post… how is it that they are incredibly fast even when you pay for the most basic shipping option available? Oh well~

I was gonna make a review but I ended up camwhoring more so I’ll post every item in different posts (AND those are gonna count as outfit posts! Yay!)

The first item I fell in love is this cute lounge wear at 980Y

I’m really happy with this one! The fabric is really soft and the sizing is perfect =3 I usually go for medium when it comes to PJs, especially for shorts so I ordered a L and it fits perfectly! The straps are a little bit loose but that’s not a problem unique to this PJ… damn you small chest!!

I felt this picture is a little bit revealing legwise… but oh well~ I’ve got my plushie Big Doudou distracting you from the skin! 8D

I edited this picture in twelve different ways…

IMG_1328-2 IMG_1328-3

Didn’t want to let all that editing be useless… since I obviously LOVE the – clarity button in Adobe Lightroom!! haha
