Spring layout !!!

This morning I woke up and my friend Mmystery had posted on Facebook a little surprise for me! Around a month ago, I had asked her if she could do little drawings of me to decorate my blog. Since she was quite busy with school, she only had the time to do it last night (instead of sleeping =X).

I just love how she draw me~ it’s so cute! So it inspired me to changed my blog’s theme since spring is here~ I also changed the subtitle of my blog to “everyday normal girl”. This is how she named the drawings and that’s exactly what I am xD

final2I added extra watermarks because I don’t want anyone to steal those. MINE! If you would like to have your owns, you can try requesting some via her DeviantArt (make sure you are polite~ Pakou doesn’t like rude people~ ). Make sure you check out her gallery, her art is awesome! You might want to check out her blog too, it’s a lot of fun to read, she has a lot of drawings that are exclusive to her blog! =D

My family’s MVP

Mvp stands for Most Valuable Player, for non gamers out there~

I just realized that I have yet to introduce you guys to my family’s sunshine!

Hi~~ My name is Echo and I’m 7 years old!
I’m a Portuguese water dog, just like Bo…
but we’re not related~

I like: cheese, carrots, playing with everyone,
making new friends, sleeping in my masters’ beds,
socks, running around, my master’s horse (she’s
very nice^^) and CUDDLING!

I don’t like: being alone, when my masters push
me out of the bed, squirrels, vacuum cleaners,
and when there are no cookies left (so tragic!)

If you don’t mind, I will go back to sleep for now~

Haha sorry for that guys~

Guess I was bored xD

Crafty saturday: accessories holder thingie!

Rainy week-ends are a total social life killer for me! Yesterday, Charlie convinced me to go out by going to eat yummy dumplings!

Sadly it was still raining today so I decided to try out one of Violet’s tutorials~ But deciding to do this last minute… my materials are quite limited… but everyone has toilet paper and wool at home right?

Violet had this brilliant idea to use these two to transform it into a scarf holder! Inspired by her idea, I decided to make my own in the shape of a heart~

It’s quite easy to make! Once you are done scotching the rolls together, take your wool and start wrapping until the paper roll is covered. You can also add cute decorations like flowers and bows, just like Violet did on hers~ I kept mine au naturel!

and TA-DAAAA~ Final result! now all my jewellery is kept in a safe and cute place! It was time for my hand sculpture to retire… It’s now in my little brother’s room: I guess it suits his room more then mine!

090830_174907see the hand? haha it was sculpted by my older brother
a long time ago. He tried to throw it away but my
mom saved it~ I’ve been using it ever since!

Make sure you stop by Violet’s blog to check out her tutorial in details and her other creative projects!

Fashion Faux Pas: How not to wear leggings

I’ve always wanted to write about fashion… but since I don’t especially belong to any styles or movement, it’s a bit hard for me to write about it as I feel people wouldn’t take me seriously and I’m afraid I could offend people who belong to specific styles (such as gyaru, lolita, two styles that I love, they’re both candilicious for my eyes!).

However, I know a Faux Pas when I see one.

Today’s faux pas is from a girl I saw in the metro.

I thought most girl understood that leggings are not for everybody shape… sadly, these two ladies didn’t get the memo. It’s very sad because they both have great body shapes but wearing leggings without covering your butt is not flattering them. At. All. If you are slightly more curved then a 110 lbs model, chances are, you have a bit of fat on your thighs. It’s ok, all woman have, our bodies naturally will stock excess fat in that area (for man, it’s the belly). So wearing leggings without covering your butt will accentuate that part of your body, may it be flattering or not.

People. Let’s get it straight once and for all. You can only wear leggings this way if you have a similar body shape to Minzy, from 2NE1. Then again… most the time, Minzy’s butt is half-covered with a baggy t-shirt.

Another thing. Pink sweater + pink cheetah print leggings + pink flats… when was that equation good? Matching clothes does not mean matching everything the same color. Matching means, completing the main piece of the outfit with other pieces of different colors to complete that main piece.

Using Polyvore, here’s how I would have personally matched patterned leggings:

A simple, flowy top with a nice necklace and HEELS. HEELS, people, HEELS! And to top it all… a simple but cute handbag (break the rule that bags have to match with shoes… it’s not true anymore)

So… how often do you see this fashion faux pas?

This post is dedicated to my friend Ria who I recently converted to leggings. =3

Circle lenses: EOS Adult Violet

I’m happy to see that a lot are enjoying my last circle lens review! I’ll make sure to keep up with the review! Today I’ll be reviewing EOS Adult Violet! It’s a two tone lens and the diameter is 14.0 mm. If you go on EOS website, it is model number E-203.

Disclaimer: I'm NOT sponsored by EOS or any shop (although it would be lovely). This review is based on my own personal experience.

EOS Adult Violet is, in my opinion, an excellent lens for girls with blue eyes who are looking for a lens that has a kick of color but a subtle design.

Comfort: Like I mentioned in my previous review, my eyes get dry easily whenever I wear any type of lenses so drops are mandatory for me. However, while wearing these lenses, I felt a little bit uncomfortable and I had to use drops every 2 hours whenever I wore them. Not the most comfortable pair of lens I’ve tried, especially from EOS…

Enlargement: Enlargement always depends on the size of your eyes: again, these lenses are 14.0 mm in diameter which enlarged my eyes a little bit.

Color and Design: Although the lens is called Adult Violet, on blue eyes, it sometimes look more pink then blue: which is pretty cool in my opinion. Of course, on darker eyes, the color really comes out as a beautiful violet. Again, the design has a lot of “clear pixels” which allows your natural eye color to blend in perfectly with the lens’ design. What surprised me the most about this lens is how sheer the design seems to be when you first look at it! When I got them, I though: “There’s no way THIS is going to make by eyes violet!” but I was wrong!

You can see from the add that the design looks very… pale. Don’t let it influence you because it is a great lens for both dark and light eyes!

I hope this review was helpful! I’ll be writing about circle lenses again very soon! In the meantime, keep an eye on Violet’s blog, she also has a circle lenses review coming up =)
