Ranzuki March 2011

What a crazy week-end!! Yesterday was the Nuit Blanche in Montreal which means a lot of attractions were open all night and even the metro was running al night! With my friends, we headed to one a friend’s restaurant and chilled there until they closed and then moved to the Old Port to see what was Montreal up to! It was realllllly cold so we gave up on ice skating and headed to a shisha cafe and played card games instead all night! It was one of those simple night out but it was a lot of fun! I got home around 7:00am!

I took this picture when I was on my way home, I thought the sky was really nice! I should wake up early and watch sunrises more often e000_050

Aside from all the snowy fun I had this week-end, I downloaded Ranzuki and I realised that I haven’t checked that magazine in a while. It was definitely refreshing to look at; after the disappointement from Popsister that I had last week, I was in for a little bit more colours and funk! And yay for Ranzuki… I had a really hard time chosing my favourite outfitse000_074

More comfy oversized sweaters: I’m loving this trend!e000_073

I kinda dislike the right model’s hair and expression… imo she kinda looks wasted… is it me?e000_052

I realllllly need to get a job and go shopping e000_062e000_062[3]

Decoden: pill box

Hi everyone! How was your Monday?

I dislike Mondays simply because they are the start of the week and I already look forward for the week-end…e000_047 even if I know I tend to not do much on week-ends! My day was boring but I filled out an application for a job I really really really really really really want and I hope this one works out!e000_044

In the meantime, last night I took a break from my humanities essay to deco my pillbox. I wanted to keep it simple and clean since it’s something that I use everyday and that is most of the time in my messy purse.

I recently bought 2000 3mm white flat-back pearls on Ebay so I used those and a little bows from FullMoon. I’m considering adding a larger bow on the top section, what do you think?e000_060

Popsister March 2011

Hi everyonee000_012 how was your week-end?

Mine was both awesome and sucky. For the sucky part, you can check out my tumblr and read what I wrote earlier today. However, I did go out Friday spontaneously with J-Oppa, Ari and Rosemary. Ari cooked a great diner for me and her boyfriend then we met up with the others at Jean Bius (Korean bar in Montreal) and then moved for a bit of Karaoke! Since I’m broke and still looking for a job, J paid for me at the bar which was really nice of him…especially considering the fact that’s he’s not usually nice to me haha.

This is usually the point where I say ‘’ on with the fashion stuff’’ haha. Honestly, I don’t have a lot of say about Popsister this month because I actually found it a little bit disappointing. The street snaps were nice and I really liked that they featured gals that don’t have your typical model body but as for coordinates… everything seemed a bit boring and dull compared to the previous months… is it just me? Oh well, I still managed to find coords that I liked but not a whole lot ^^’

The polka dots tights are so adorable… I really need to buy some!e000_009

Restaurant Grillades Lafirenze

Unfortunately, my snowboarding week-end fell apart so I ended up not doing much this week-end until Sunday when my friend Viet invited me to go eat at a Congolese restaurant with a bunch of friends. I didn’t know what is typical congolese cuisine was like so I was ready to expect anything!  Fortunately for me, it wasn’t anything crazy at all!

Salty fishe000_025

I really liked the chicken, the beef, the pondu and the bananas! I didn’t try to the fish because the night before I ate fish and I was sick so I wasn’t really in the mood for fish that night. It was a bit exaggerated that we had to pay 5$ for a bowl a rice that was way too small for 6 people but oh well, the food was really good, a bit on the salty side but still very nice. e000_044

None of the pictures with my face came out nicely since I took them quickly before leaving home ^^’ It was a very snowy day so I didn’t want to get cold so I wrote a poncho that I got at H&M on sale a while ago that I paired with black jeggings! Comfy, warm but still stylish, check!

Popteen February 2011

Yay, it’s the end of the week and I’m so excited for this week-end: I’m going snowboarding! It’s going to be a lot of fun since a friend from college is coming along so that I can give him free lessons :) I used to teach snowboard at Mont Sutton but I don’t officially teach anymore. I still have my license and snowboard isn’t something you forget in easily, especially when you started when you were 8! I’ll make sure to post of lot of pictures since I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun; usually, I’m always snowboard by myself or with my family. I like my family but they ski so we don’t like the same type of trails.

Also, you probably noticed the colour changes! I finally got around modifying the colours; I was getting sick of the blue… Is there an award for bloggers who constantly change their layout?

Enough with the nonsense~ I haven’t done a collage in a while simply because I’ve been both busy with school and… super lazy, so on with the fashion stuff!!

We all know my love for stripes and marine vest: the 4th outfit is a fav!!

I’m in LOVE with those polka dots leggins: I have to find some, they are just tooooo cute!

I can’t wait to get a job and go shopping; my wardrobe needs a major update, especially with the retro vintage trend is making a strong back (will definitely blog about this!) and I’ve been obsessed with the idea of buying a cute red coat! What fashion item are you dying to get?

Circle lenses: EOS Neon Pink

I haven’t posted a circle lenses review in a while; it’s so cold here in Canada that wearing circle lenses outside at –20 is a little bit of a problem for someone who has dry eyes like me! Luckily, the weather has been a little bit warmer lately and I was FINALLY able to test the lenses mukuCHU sent me!

You probably remember that this summer, I reviewed EOS Super Nudy in Pink. Since pink lenses are really popular lately, mukuCHU sent me another pair of pink lenses to try!

Disclaimer: These lenses were sponsored by mukuCHU, however this review is based on my own personal experience.

Comfort: Despite the fact that it is still very cold here and the air in my house is quite dry, these lenses are very comfortable. I’ve worn them at school and I didn’t feel like I was wearing lenses at all! I’m actually wearing them right now!

Enlargement: The vials are long gone and I’m pretty sure these are 14.5mm lenses however the enlargement is really good: since the black rim is quite thick, it really gives a good illusion of bigger eyes that is not too spooky.

Colour and design: The main reason mukuCHU chose to send me these lenses is that the design is a  lot more bolder compared to the Super Nudy. The rim black rim is very thick and dark and there isn’t any clear space so the pink part doesn’t blend at all with your natural eye colour. Since the colour is so bold, I found that it didn’t suit my hair colour so well that’s why I took picture wearing a dark brown wig: it has a little bit of a cosplay feel.

I really like these lenses and I was in a cosplay mood after taking these picture so here’s an extra picture! I didn’t feel like wearing my gypsy cosplay (for very obvious weather reasons!) so enjoy this face shot instead!

Remember to pay mukuCHU a visit if you want affordable and authentic circle lenses. They are currently upgrading their website and they recently bought their domain name! Also, mukuCHU donated 2$ for each pair of circle lenses sold from batch order #17 to the Flood Relief Appeal: responsible seller, I like!
