You’re not so innocent

I’ve been thinking about a lot of things lately and ranting quite a bit haha. Recently, I see a lot of Facebook statuses or notes that goes along the lines of “ I hate people who talk in my back, it’s not right” and every time, I laugh.

I laugh because I find it funny that someone think he or she (it’s generally girls who write those kind of things tho) think so highly of themselves that they give themselves the right to tell other people it’s wrong to gossip or talk behind one’s back when they actually do it themselves.

Bitch, you’re not an angel.e000_079

Everyone does it. You do it too. It might not be full on trash talk or intense gossip, but you have, do or will talk behind somene’s back. It might not be right but fuck it, I do it. I trash talk behind people’s back. When I hear a gossip, I will not stop the person on the account of good moral and yadi yada, I want to know the juicy stories to.

Don’t lecture people on something you can’t even do yourself.

I think next time I see a status about that, I’ll call out the person~

Summer gets

Hi everyone~ I’ve been feeling a lot better and finally my voice is back! Since I was feeling a lot better, I went shopping with Dominique this afternoon and thought it would be nice to show you the things that got today as well as other things that I got while shopping with Ariane :)

Dress: 21.80$
Jumsuit: 17.50$

I got this nice white dress and floral jumsuit last week at Forever21! I had been looking for a clubbing dress and I had only one criteria: NOT BLACK!!! I seem to always wear black whenever I go out… as easy to match, it gets boring so I thought this dress was really nice for a change! The jumpsuit was actually pointed out by Ariane as we both fell in love with it. We first saw the pink one but later found the turquoise one which looked nicer =)

Urban Behavior
25.99$… but the cashier scanned it wrong and it was 19.99$ instead :D

I had also tried on this dress at Urban Behavior while shopping with Ariane but didn’t end up buying: I wasn’t sure about if I really liked it. I ended up thinking about this dress the rest of the week and picked it up today while whopping with Dominique! I had always wanted a maxi dress and never expected they were soooo comfortable! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on these for so long…

11.99$ on sale

I’m absolutely in lot with this shirt! From the round collar to the white polka dots, I find it’s perfect for the vintage-retro trend that’s going on right now! I could like to pair it with beige shorts, this is the next item on my list!

Forever 21

Finally, Dominique and I both ended up buying this necklace: I really like keys and I thought this one was quite nice! I reminded me how some people don’t like that their friends buy the same things as them and I always thought that was ridiculous… if you don’t want people to wear the same things as you… make your own clothes? haha

Popteen and Popsister May 2011

Hi everyone! I had planned to blog about recent item gets… but I’m still  sick and I spent the whole day in bed; I had absolutely no willpower to get up and take pictures of the clothes.e000_077 However, I still have a few magazine collages lined up and I thought it would be good to share those with you instead of leaving you with that nasty blog post on top of my page haha. Plus, Japanese magazine are so quick in publishing: sometimes, I’m not even done looking at one magazine that the next month issue is already out, scanned and all over the Internet! Or maybe I’m too slow when I look at them?

In any cases, here are my picks for the may issues of Popteen and Popsister!

Popteen May 2011

A lot of the above outfits have been all over Tumblr lately, so I don’t want to elaborate more on them haha. However, I love everything that’s going on in these: beautiful pumps, lacy socks, delicate material and soft colours… loving it icon_upheart

Popsister May 2011

Again with the soft colours but with a more adult feel, still loving it! I spotted shoes very similar to the one the second model is wearing at Spring! I should go back and get them!!

You can suck my imaginary dick for all I care~

Hey everyone. I feel like I haven’t done this kind of post in a long time so here it goes: how my Saturday night went from fun to okay to meh to I hate the world.

I went clubbing with friends and I invited a mutual friend, T, knowing this person is interested in a girl in that group of friends. When we got to the club, it was empty, dead. So of us decided to stick around while others opted to go pre-drink at a local bar. I stayed at the club; I didn’t feel like going back and forth. After a while, it became crowded and we danced, it was fun. A little bit passed midnight, I decided to head home. I have laryngitis right now so I didn’t want to stay up too late and worse my state.

On my way to the metro, I met with the people who were just leaving the bar and they convinced me to come back to the club with them, promising they would drive me home so I accepted. We danced and it was fun! My feet were killing me and just as I was about to ask if I could get that ride home, everyone migrated to karaoke. Even though I can’t speak or sing, I joined since it’s always fun to watch people sing and I would be able to sit and relax my feet.

Wrong. Somehow, the group was split and I ended up in a karaoke room with people I didn’t know. Awkward. So I hung out most of the time in the hallway, playing FIFA and drinking with the staff who had pity for me since my friends were pretty much deserting me.

When I saw the friend who had promised me a ride home, he told me he had to leave but that my other friend had promised to take care of me. I didn’t mind since that other friend, T, drove me home a few times already. I waited patiently while that friend was picking up another friend, M, and as soon as he was back, I asked him when I could go home.

He told me that since he was taking M home and other people, it would be in a while since he just got here. I thought that was reasonable. So I waited. And waited. While everyone sang, I was browsing Internet on my iPod and talking to friends on Facebook chat, most of them telling me to go home since it was already so late.

Since I can’t talk, I texted T and BEGGED him to take me home. No reply. Texted a few more times but still nothing. When he came back in our karaoke room, he acted as if nothing happened and that was it for me. I stayed a few minutes, got up, didn’t say anything and walked out like a boss.

I grabbed a cab and later texted M that I was gone and to tell T. The reply didn’t come in until a while later: either they noticed that I had been gone for a while and the guy at the front told them that I had left or M happened to check his phone and saw my text. Either way, M texted me that he thinks T’s phone is dead and that’s he says sorry. My reply?

If you’re going to take responsibility and take it upon yourself to get me home safely, without me even asking you to, then fucking do it in a timely matter. I was going to go home with the last metro, which would have cost me nothing but because I trusted you, I decided to have fun a little bit more but ended up spending 40$ that I don’t have on a cab ride four hours later. It’s not like I acted like a brat about it either: I asked you once, you told me to wait. I asked again two hours later, no reply. Got fed up. You owe me 40$, pal.

It sucks because before the karaoke, I had a lot of fun at the club. One dude tried to pick us up my friend and I… we both didn’t say anything and stared at him until he said : “ Do you speak English?” and I replied : “ No speak English no” and he left. Another time, while I was at the bar getting a water bottle, a guy decided to be suave and pay for my water bottle. Thanks dude, but that still won’t get me in your pants. Or to dance with you as a matter of fact.

Update: Ok so obviously I wrote this when I was still upset. I talked to my friend (well via texts… laryngitis = no voice) and he was really sorry and we made up. I also apologised for turning down his previous apologies.

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black Review

It’s been a while since I reviewed a cosmetic product. I’ve been quite a good student lately so I decided that I deserved a little present from me to me with all my love so I got Dolly Wink’s Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black!

First of all, the packaging is extremely cute. As for the size of the eyeliner; it is a little bit smaller and thinner compared to Revlon’s Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen.

The brush is 9mm long and very thin at the tip. At first, I thought it was a felt brush but looking closely at it, I realised that it is actually made of fibers. Knowing this eyeliner already has great reviews, I decided to put it right to the test!

1 2

3 4

  1. I tested how easy it was to and the ability to make thin lines – check!
  2. I have a problem with eyeliners smudging and cracking throughout the day, even with a good primer so I rubbed the eyeliner very hard (harder then anyone would ever rub their eyes!) and tugged on my skin, trying to make the eyeliner crack but nothing happened. The colour seems a little bit less intense but the area around it is still clean.
  3. Waterproof uh? Alright, I placed my hand under cold water and rubbed the eyeliner with a finger for a good 15 seconds and, again, it didn’t budge!
  4. I’m a very lazy person: I shower before removing my make-up then clean what’s waterproof with make up remover later. A few seconds under warm water and barely any rubbing is all it took to clean this liner!

Lancôme Artliner in Noir VS Dolly Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black

I love it. Love love love love love it! I use Lancôme's Artliner and I’ve never been completely satisfied with it but at its price, you convince yourself that you are! Artliner is very pigmented but the tip of the brush is round and makes it tricky at times to wing your eyeliner as it is too flexible. Also, the formula is not as smudge-proof as I would like it do be. In comparison, Dolly Wink’s tip is a lot easier to control, not too hard, not too flexible. The formula is smudge proof, dries quickly and easy to remove (no make-up remover required!)

In my opinion, Dolly Wink is a much better eyeliner than Lancôme's and at a fraction of the cost including shipping cost. However, I wish it was also offered in brown! Koji, please tell us you have a brown one coming up ;D

Happie Nuts May 2011

Hi everyone! How was your week? I am SO glad that mine is over and I get to relax a little bit this week-end! Four more days of school and I’M DONE (for this semester at least) !!!

Out of the blue, my friend Carlita told me Monday that she had tickets for the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the conductor that night was Kent Nagano! I’ve never really talked about my musical background on this blog but I started the piano when I was around 6 and in high school I was in a special music program :) When my friends were drooling over Justin Timberlake… I was a fan of Kent Nagano! So when my friend told me about the show, you bet I skipped studying that night and went to the concert instead!!!

So here’s a picture just for my friend July who is a big fan of him just like me haha! e000_071

Now for those who aren’t really interested by classical music, here’s something that might interest you a little bit more! I don’t recall ever showing your guys any favourite coords from Happie Nuts so here are the ones that I liked the most from the May issue!

You probably noticed from my recent past that I realllly like the whole pastel colours that has been everywhere lately! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

DIY; Turn a shirt into a necklace!

Hi everyone! I spent the week-end studying and before I go crazy… I decided to do something creative! I don’t know about you but I have WAY too many tops and t-shirts and a lot of them end up being worn once or twice then they are destined to sit at the bottom for my drawer until I decide to donate my clothes…

So I decided to use some old t-shirts and turn them into something completely different!! First, I started off with an old Sushi Shop uniform t-shirt… since I don’t plan in working there for the rest of my life… this was the first one to go!

IMG_0096Bye bye Sushi Shop memorabilia (I actually have 2 more left… oups!)

You will need:

  • An old T-shirt (clean, please)
  • A pair of fabric scissors
  • A needle and a thread
  • Decorative elements (chains, charms, etc.)

Let’s get started!

First, you want to cut the collar and the hem. Then, cut the sleeves off but do not throw them away; you will need them later! From then, you want to cut fabric stripes betwenn 3/4 of an inch to an inch. Make sure you have a good pair of scissors; as silly as it sounds, this is going to make the whole process a lot easy ( I had to borrow my mom’s left handed scissor for this tutorial and it was VERY hard to cut haha)

You’re going to have a lot of strips and now the fun begins: pull each strips in order to make it longer and roll on itself, forming a rope! Once you are done, you can start designing your scarf. From there, I used Heckahaute’s tutorial and made my own necklace!

Instead of making mine all loose ropes on the top part, I decided to braid them instead. I also used less ropes at the bottom and added a few chains.

There you have it; a nice and easy way to transform a t-shirt into a bold accessory that can make a nice statement on any outfit!

Let me know if you try this out, I would love to see pictures! :D
